This July will see the thirtieth running of the European Poker Championships and you can win a package to the Main Event if you play at Intertops Poker.
Despite its many names, many homes, and many sponsors, the European Poker Championships is thirty years old this year. Now run by the Poker´EM and Casinos Austria Groups, this year´s Championships will take place between 17th and 28th July at the stunning Casino Velden, overlooking the equally stunning Lake Worther in the three-borders region of Austria, Slovenia, and Italy.
The Championships schedule (PDF) has something for everyone. As well as the feature No Limit Hold´em European Poker Championships Main Event, champions will be crowned in Pot Limit Omaha and Seven Card Stud; plus there will be a special low buy-in event for Ladies and two high buy-in events for High Rollers. There will also be a €30,000 celebration freeroll tournament on the final day.
The EPC Main Event Should be Huge
Since the European Poker Championships moved to Velden, it has increased in popularity every year. In 2018, a record entry (for Velden) of 250 players ponied up the €2,700 buy-in or qualified via various live and online satellites to play in the Main Event – creating a prize pool of €625,000. This year, organizers are hoping for closer to 300 players in order to take the prize pool beyond €700,000 ($770,000).
To help players qualify for the event, Casinos Austria is hosting live satellites throughout its network of twelve casinos. Online players also have the opportunity to satellite into this prestigious event by playing at Intertops Poker; where a special promotion is about to get underway that will reward the winner not only with their buy-in for the EPC Main Event, but also with hotel accommodation and a contribution towards their travel expenses.
How to Win an EPC Package at Intertops Poker
Intertops Poker´s special promotion consists of a $110 buy-in tournament on Saturday 4th May with a guaranteed prize of a $6,500 package to the EPC Main Event from 24th to 27th July. The package includes the Main Event buy-in, five nights´ accommodation for two in a premium Velden hotel, $500 towards travelling expenses, and dinner with the Intertops Poker team.
Because the buy-in has a hefty price tag for some players, Intertops Poker is giving players the opportunity to qualify for the “Satellite Final” via a series of satellites and sub-satellites, plus two “Wild West Shootout” hyper-turbo qualifiers on the afternoon of the “Satellite Final”. The satellites and sub-satellites this coming Thursday (25th April) and consist of:
