PowerfestFor a limited time only, players suffering a bad beat at any Party Poker table have a chance of recovering their losses via the PowerFest Bad Beat Promotion.

If you follow the world of online poker, you will likely be aware that Party Poker´s PowerFest series started last weekend. The series got off to a good start with most events beating their guarantees, having been helped by a comprehensive and generous satellite schedule, and the site´s PowerFest SPINS promotion. However, one promotion seems to have flown under the radar judging by the response to it so far – the PowerFest Bad Beat promotion quietly announced on the Party Poker blog last week.

The PowerFest Bad Beat promotion awards one $1,050 satellite ticket each day for Party Poker´s $20 million guaranteed MILLIONS Online tournament in December. The ticket can be used to enter the weekly Sunday Final which awards twenty seats into the target event. At this time of year – and especially while the PowerFest series takes centre-stage – the Sunday Final often fails to reach the 200 players it needs to make its guarantee, and therefore this promotion represents an excellent opportunity for players suffering a bad beat to recover their losses and potentially win much more.

How the PowerFest Bad Beat Promotion Works

The promotion is open to any player suffering a qualifying Bad Beat at any table during the current PowerFest series. Therefore, the promotion not only applies to players competing in PowerFest tournaments, but also in cash games (including Omaha cash games), SPINS and satellites. Furthermore, you don´t have to be playing above a certain stake in order for your hand to qualify as a Bad Beat – although you do have to have a funded real money account at Party Poker to claim the prize.

A qualifying Bad Beat consists of four-of-kind or better being cracked at showdown; and, unlike some Bad Beat promotions, there is no mention of both hole cards having to be used in the hand or a minimum number of players dealt into the hand. Therefore, if four Sixes are dealt among the community cards in a heads-up Sit & Go, and your King-high opening hand is beaten by an Ace-high opening hand, you qualify to enter the promotion.

To enter the promotion, you have to take a screenshot of the qualifying Bad Beat and Tweet it to @PartyPoker using the hashtags #MILLIONSOnline and #BadBeat. (If the hand finishes too fast for you to take a screenshot, you can pull it up again from the hand replayer or MyGame feature). Party Poker´s social media team will judge the worst Bad Beat of the day based on hand rankings and award the player suffering the worst Bad Beat a $1,050 MILLIONS Online satellite ticket.

A Great Promotion – That No-One´s Entered

A quick scan through Twitter indicates that no-one has yet entered the PowerFest Bad Beat promotion. It´s unlikely that nobody´s yet had their four-of-kind cracked since the promotion began last Sunday, so the only possible explanation is that not enough players are aware of the promotion. Therefore, don´t keep this news to yourself and share it among your buddies at Party Poker.

Although you might not suffer a qualifying Bad Beat before the promotion ends of August 11th, one of your buddies might, and imagine how grateful they will be if their free satellite entry into the MILLIONS Online event results in a seven-figure payday! Just remember any satellite ticket won at Party Poker has an expiration date on it; so, if you win a free satellite entry, head immediately for the MILLIONS Online Sunday Final listed under the Party Poker LIVE tab in the poker client to register for the next qualifier.
