Bovada Poker is enhancing the guarantees on eighteen of its regular midweek tournaments on July 3rd, as Wild Wednesdays makes a welcome return.
Players with long memories may recall that Wild Wednesdays – days on which the midweek tournament schedule was packed with extra events – used to be a regular feature at Bodog Poker and then Bovada Poker before Bovada pulled its poker platform in September 2016.
Since the return of Bovada Poker, there has only been one Wild Wednesday; and, as that fell on December 26th and was sandwiched between two other tournament series, a lot of players may not have noticed it was running at all. But now it´s back on July 3rd, with a full schedule of eighteen events guaranteeing more than $300,000 in prize money.
The Wild Wednesday Tournament Schedule
The Wild Wednesday tournament schedule has been compiled to appeal to all types of players and all sizes of bankrolls. The schedule includes Deepstack, KO, Heads-Up, and Hyper-Turbo events in NL Hold´em format, and an “Extra Play” PL Omaha event in which players start with a chip stack equivalent to 375 Big Blinds and levels last twenty minutes each.
Buy-ins range from $11 to $270 and, for players who enjoy “traditional” online poker tournaments (i.e. with no gimmicks attached), there are three Main Events:
- An Early Bird Main Event gets underway at 8:26am (all times ET) with a buy-in of $82 and a guaranteed prize pool of $75,000.
- There is a Mini Main Event scheduled for 6:26pm which has a generous $40,000 guarantee considering the buy-in of $38.50.
- The cards are in the air for the “main” Main Event forty minutes later at 7:06pm, when the buy-in is $270 and the guarantee $75,000.
Daily satellites to all the Wild Wednesday tournaments are now live in the Bovada Poker client, plus you can also qualify for selected tournaments via the regular satellite schedule. If you are unsure whether you will be able to play in the Wild Wednesday tournaments, we recommend taking advantage of the regular satellite schedule, as unused Wild Wednesday tickets will be forfeited if not used.
