We are approaching one of the biggest events in the historic Las Vegas Venetian Casino’s Deepstack Extravaganza 2020. On November 19th, 2020, event #38 will be a No-Limit Hold’em MSPT. The official event name listed on the site is “$1600 NLH MSPT $400K GTD Day 1A (3Day).”
The Venetian’s Deepstack Extravaganzas take place at the Venetian five times a year; it certainly stands out on calendars. To participate, players must be 21 or older and have a Grazie card.
If you are unfamiliar with what a Grazie card is or how to obtain one, you need to contact the Venetian as it is one of their loyalty programs. Grazie cards present many benefits as they allow you to accumulate points while you play and when you buy nearly anything else at the Venetian, from snacks to restaurant meals, even your car parking. They add a special incentive to join as well; new members receive a free bonus when they sign up.
This will be the largest size guarantee of the Extravaganza at $400,000, the second closest guarantee of the Extravaganza is $200,000. It will begin at 11:10 a.m. PST and carry on for three days; Day 2 will begin at 11 a.m. PST, and Day 3 will begin at Noon PST. Day 1 will go on until only 11% of the field left, or level 10 is reached, whichever comes first. Day 2 will pick up from this and carry on until 10 levels have been played. This will lead to Day 3, which will be played until the winner is determined.
The total buy-in is $1,600, with an entry fee of $1,430 that goes to the prize pool; the other $170 of the buy-in is allocated to staff and entry fees. The amount of starting chips will be 30,000 and starting blinds 100/100. The ante type will be Big Blind, and the ante will come from the Big Blind only. Through the first 12 levels, there will be unlimited re-entry.
Each level is 60 minutes with a 15-minute break time after every two levels; after level six, there will be an extended, 45-minute break. There are 18 levels, and after the 10th and 16th levels, chips will be removed; 100 and then 500. In the 18th level, blinds will be 4,000-8,000.
Even if you busted on Day 1A, you would still be eligible to play on Day 1B and 1C, and there is a late buy-in as well that will be open until Day 2. If you do happen to end up winning, you can either be paid in cash or casino chips, but be sure to have your identification on you, or you will not be able to claim your winnings.
