The 45th Anniversary of the Rumble in the Jungle

The Rumble in the Jungle in 1974 is considered to be the best boxing match ever. It saw undisputed world heavyweight champion George Foreman suffer his first loss in forty fights to the massive underdog Muhammed Ali and, although most online poker players will be too young to remember watching the event live, Intertops Poker is hosting a special celebratory tournament.

The Rumble in the Jungle tournament takes place on Wednesday, October 30th at 7:05 pm. The $22.00 buy-in tournament has a $2,000 guaranteed prize pool, and $5 from each buy-in will be allocated as a bounty on each player´s head.  Low buy-in KO satellites feeding into the target event start the previous Wednesday – each guaranteeing one seat in the final plus whatever $0.50 bounties you win on the way.

Intertops Poker´s Halloween Treat

Considering Intertops Poker celebrates practically every holiday on the calendar, it´s no surprise to find a Halloween Treat in the schedule for October 31st at 7:15 pm. This $19.80 buy-in event carries a prize pool guarantee of $2,000, and like the Oscar Wilde tournament, it has a re-buy and add-on structure with unlimited re-buys available for the sixty minutes of late registration.

From October 28th, Intertops Poker will be running daily Halloween satellites at 4:05 pm with a buy-in of $2.20. These guarantee a minimum of one seat for the target event; and although the timing of the satellites could have been better to get more players involved, it is worth trying to spin a couple of dollars into an end of month payday by supporting the satellites.
