The UK poker record books will have to be updated again after the record for most tournament participants has been broken once again, this time by the Dusk Till Dawn tournament series who were able to sell out their 900 player strong capacity a week before the tournament.
The £50 DTD Grand Prix was specially created to try to break the participation record, which used to be 730 players before the European Poker Tour broke that number by serving up 848 players.
The £50 DTD Grand Prix tournament featured a smaller buy in and with that factoring making the tournament more affordable by more players, Dusk Till Dawn were able to sell out the complete tournament holding over a week before the tournament was even to be held.
The £50 buy in tournament will offer players the chance to test their skills against other poker players at the tables in a bid to secure the £13,000 first place prize money as well as the title.
With the tournament beating the previous record, held by the European Poker Tour, the tournament director Simon Trumper was quick to issue a statement, saying that he was looking forward to starting the tournament and thanking all players who were lucky enough to get into the tournament.
Now that they have taken over the title of biggest tournament within the UK, Dusk Till Dawn are determined to better their rating once again next year, looking to increase the capacity further.
Dusk Till Dawn have their very own online poker room and all new players receive a 100% up to £250 poker bonus, and they also have their very own casino website.
