PokerStars will welcome a new online tournament series this weekend in New Jersey called Summer Stacks.
It’s time for yet another online poker series in New Jersey. PokerStars is preparing to offer online poker players a Summer Stacks Festival, with tournament options running from June 12-28. There will be an amazing 100 events on the schedule with $528,000 in total prize money up for grabs. The buy-ins will be low, so players will easily be able to afford to compete in a few or several events during the series.
PokerStars is hosting the new festival with casual gaming in mind. There will be short events on the schedule along with turbo options, so players are not online for a long period of time competing in one event. Buy-ins will be $100 or less, which means more potential to compete in multiple tournaments.
There will be plenty of formats to explore including 6-max, 8-max, turbo, progressive knock-out and more. A few of the events are super affordable including Event #4, the NLHE 6-Max tournament. This event has a low buy-in of just $5 with a guaranteed prize pool of $1,000.
If you want to spend a little bit more for a larger prize pool, consider Event #10, the NLHE 6-Max Sunday Storm. This event has a $10 buy-in and features a larger $2,500 prize pool. Or, take part in Event #12, an NLHE 8-max Sunday Special with a $25 buy-in and $6,500 in prize money.
The biggest event of the series is the Main Event, #90 on the schedule. This tournament has the larger $100 buy-in and features a $50,000 prize pool. This event will be an 8-max, NLHE tournament.
Because the schedule is so full, players will easily be able to find an option that works. If you have little time to compete, take advantage of the turbos or short stacks to play quickly.
What online poker series would be complete without freerolls? The Summer Stacks Festival at PokerStars NJ will include freerolls connected to the series. Players can win seats for zero dollars which can equal big winnings if the final table is reached!
Daily depositor freerolls are on offer, set to provide players with Summer Stacks Entries. A total of $10,000 in tickets will be given away. Players must use a special bonus code and deposit at least $30 to earn a ticket to a freeroll.
The site is also offering Second Chance Freerolls, for those knocked out of Summer Stacks events before making the money. This option will also include $10,000 in tickets to the series events. There are plenty of ways to earn a spot for little to no money at PokerStars.
The online poker brand is also offering the same series in Pennsylvania and Michigan. These two states will also provide 100 events with buy-ins no greater than 100. Michigan’s total prize money up for grabs is $1 million while Pennsylvania will be slightly above the $1 million mark.
It will be interesting to compare each of the Summer Stacks to see which had a bigger turnout, higher guaranteed prize pools, etc. No matter what, players are going to be logging in to compete once the series is live this weekend!
