This week saw 7,989 players enter the $1.5 Million Guaranteed PokerStars Sunday Million tournament. This exceeded the guarantee to create a prize pool of $1,597,800 with the top 1,170 players all cashing and first place having a prize of $239,674, and there was many Team PokerStars Pro’s participating in the hopes of taking down the victory.
Team PokerStars Pro’s who entered the tournament included Chad Brown, Veronica “Princesa” Dabul, and Jude “j.thaddeus” Ainsworth but it was Victor Ramdin who outlasted them all, finishing in 371st place for a cash of $591.
There was also one other notable pro who made it very deep in the tournament – Full Tilt Poker sponsored pro, Andrew ‘LuckyChewy’ Lichtenberger who plays on PokerStars under the alias ‘RunThisTable‘. Close to the final table with the blinds at 100,000/200,000 Lichtenberger found himself with under $2 million chips and desperate for a few winning hands, however when shoved with QJ
he found himself up against Sherkadil’s A
J
and with no help from the board he was out in 16th place for $4,234.
When play was down to the final table, the top 3 players all agreed on a deal which left $30k extra to the winner who ended up being Sherkadil.
