Players qualifying ahead of time for next week´s KO Series at Party Poker are taking advantage of overlays at practically every buy-in level.
Party Poker´s KO Series gets underway next Sunday and runs until September 23rd. Over the two weeks, 283 progressive KO tournaments are packed into the schedule, guaranteeing more than $30 million in prize money and KO bounties. It promises to be a great tournament series – especially for players who cash in any of the big money events (three of which have million dollar guarantees).
As usual, Party Poker is promoting its tournament series by offering special SPINS games. These have a buy-in of $5.00 and pay cash prizes at the lower prize pool multipliers, and KO Series tickets up to a value of $5,200 if you win a game with one of the higher prize pool multipliers. However, players looking to extract some value from pre-series qualifying should look no further than the satellite schedule.
Overlays at Practically Every Buy-In Level
The KO Series has been designed to suit every size of bankroll. Buy-ins start at just $2.20; and, if that stretches your bankroll, you can satellite into micro buy-in tournaments from just $0.22. Indeed, for every buy-in of tournament there are satellites guaranteeing a minimum number of seats – and it is in these guaranteed satellites where the value exists based on last night´s action.

Considering yesterday was the busiest day of the week at Party Poker, it may be the case players were distracted by opportunities elsewhere in the regular schedule. Nonetheless, out of nine KO Series satellites played last night, eight of them had overlays. There are nine satellites scheduled for each evening this week, so it is a good idea to keep an eye open for potential overlays as the satellites enter late registration.
Where to Find the KO Series Satellites
With so much going on at Party Poker, it can be difficult to find specific satellites for specific events. The best way to find the KO Series satellites is to filter the tournament lobby to just show satellites, and then sort the qualifiers into alphabetical order by clicking on the “name” tab. Scroll past “Feeder satellites” and “Gladiator Satellites” (which also overlayed last night) and you will find the KO Series satellites.
In addition to the KO Series satellites offering a guaranteed number of seats, you will also find phased satellites. These are two-stage qualifiers in which players can win a package of seats to KO Series events. The first phase of each qualifier lasts twenty-seven levels, and players who survive the two hours of action carry their chip stacks forward into Phase 2 next Sunday. These might also be worth keeping an eye on later in the week.
Free SPINS Tickets When You Join Party Poker
If you are not already playing at Party Poker, you are eligible to claim up to $30 in free SPINS tickets when you make your first deposit of $20 or more. The tickets are released on specific days during your first week of being a Party Poker player, and they don´t have to be used to play in the KO Series SPINS games – you can use them to enter regular SPINS games with a first prize of $1 million in cash.
