Next Thursday, the WPT National gets underway at the Dusk till Dawn poker club in Nottingham. The feature event during the five days of action is the $1 million guaranteed Main Event, and there will also be a strong line-up of side events plus the usual abundance of cash game action.
Not listed among the side-event schedule is a special WPT Celebrity 6-Max Sit & Go on Thursday 19th May. Three of the celebrities taking part are already known – Carl Froch, Mike Sexton and Tony Dunst. The other three seats around the table are reserved for Party Poker players in the UK and Ireland, who can win their seats in three special “Centroll” tournaments next Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday.

Still Time to Qualify for $1,000,000 Guaranteed WPT National Main Event
With only a week to go until the WPT National Main Event, the online qualifiers at Party Poker are in full swing. Two $22.00 “feeder” sub-satellites are hosted on Party Poker every night at 7:00pm and 8:00pm (all times BST), both guaranteeing ten seats into the daily $109.00 buy-in satellite at 9:00pm – that guarantees ten seats in the $1,100 buy-in WPT National Main Event.
Players who win a seat in the target event have the option of playing Day 1A online at Party Poker on Thursday 19th May, or travelling to Nottingham to compete in Day 1B (Friday) or Day 1C (Saturday). Players who survive into Sunday´s Day 2 should be pretty certain of making their trip worthwhile financially, while the WPT National Main Event final table will be battled out on Monday 23rd May.
