Party Releases Full Schedule for Caribbean Poker Party
The full schedule is out for Party Poker’s fourth Caribbean Poker Party this November; and, although we were already aware of the big feature events, it looks as if Party Poker is making an effort to cater for online qualifiers with smaller bankrolls by including some tasty looking, low buy-in side events.
There is a theory among some in the PokerNewsReport office that recreational players do not attempt to qualify for live poker events in exotic destinations because, if they bust out of the tournament they have qualified for, every other tournament at the venue has a buy-in that is well beyond their bankroll. There are dissenters to this theory in the office, who claim they would love to win a package to an exotic destination just so they could bust out on Day 1 and spend some time on the beach!
With the release of the full Caribbean Poker Party schedule, it appears that Party Poker is catering for both sides of the argument. Players who qualify for the Main Event and fail to make a deep run will have plenty of opportunities to play in low buy-in side events, while players who just want to soak up the sun will have plenty of opportunities to do that too – although, no matter how much you love the sun, you are probably not going to want to miss the $1 million guaranteed finale event.
About the Caribbean Poker Party
The Caribbean Poker Party is Party Poker´s flagship event in its live poker schedule. The “party” takes place from 9th to 18th November at the Baha Mar Resort in the Bahamas, and more than two thousand players and their guests are expected to descend on the resort for nine days of sun, sea and poker. To encourage players to attend the event, Party Poker is running a comprehensive satellite schedule starting at Centroll level and culminating in a Sunday Final with five package up for grabs that include:
- The $5,300 buy-in to the $10 million guaranteed Main Event.
- Bed and breakfast accommodation for two people (9 nights).
- $1,000 room credit to spend on activities at the resort.
- $2,000 towards flights and other travel expenses.
The package is valued at $12,000, and it is noticeable that while Party Poker has been focusing on its Millions Online promotions, some of the sub-satellites and satellites feeding into the weekly Final have been significantly undersubscribed. There is also a considerable amount of value in the PP Live Dollars lobby if you had been thinking of attempting to qualify for the Main Event and intended to play in some of the side events with more expensive buy-ins.

So, what do you have to look forward to on the tables if you make it to the Bahamas in November? Quite a lot actually. As well as a stack of live qualifiers and round-the-clock cash games, Party Poker will be hosting eleven feature and side events.
