Party Poker Announces Biggest Ever PowerFest Series

Party Poker has announced the dates and schedule for September´s PowerFest Series. The event will run from Sunday 2nd September until Sunday 23rd September and consist of an incredible 670 tournaments guaranteed for a total of more than $60 million – Party Poker´s biggest ever tournament series guarantee.

September 2nd is going to be a pretty massive day for online poker. Not only is there the conclusion to the [geolink href=”https://www.pokernewsreport.com/dates-confirmed-for-next-oss-cub3d-at-wpn-22592″]Winning Poker Network´s OSS Cub3d series[/geolink] to look forward to – with two $1 million guaranteed events – it will be the opening day of PokerStars´ WCOOP (schedule still to be announced), and Party Poker´s biggest ever PowerFest series which kicks off with two $1 million guaranteed events of its own.

In fact, over the thirty-five events on the opening day of the September 2018 PowerFest series there will be just short of $5.5 million on the tables. And, with buy-ins for the Micro buy-in events starting at just $1.10, everybody has the opportunity to take part in the action. Furthermore, there is a little more variety included in this incarnation of PowerFest than there has been previously.

The PowerFest Schedule in Greater Depth

Regular players at Party Poker will recognize the structure of the September 2018 PowerFest schedule. Sets of games over six different buy-in categories start at two-hour intervals from 2:00pm until midnight each day (all times CET), with the addition of a set of Omaha tournaments at 8:30pm. The speed at which the tournaments are played generally start at a slow pace and accelerate throughout the day.

In addition to the regular NL Hold´em and Omaha tournaments, there is again plenty of Progressive Knockout (PKO) events scattered throughout the schedule, plus the newer Mix-Max tournaments – which start in 8-Max format and change to 6-Max format once the closing stages approach. If these events are successful, the site plans to add Mix-Max Monday to its weekly Power Series schedule.

Players interested in big money events should note there are fifteen tournaments in the schedule with a prize pool guarantee of $1 million or more. Two million dollar events are scheduled for each Sunday of the series (three on the final Sunday), with further seven-figure guarantees scheduled for each Tuesday and Thursday – including the $25,500 buy-in $3 million guaranteed event on Thursday 20th September.
