Overlays Galore at WPN Freebuy Super Series II

U.S. online poker players missed a lot of overlays the past 11 days at the Winning Poker Network’s Freebuy Super Series II.

Apparently, those players chose instead to squeeze every last drop out of the remaining days of summer, as that season ended yesterday on Labor Day. It’s too bad, because savvy online poker players made their way over to WPN skins such as Americas Cardroom (ACR) and Black Chip Poker from August 28 through September 7 and found overlays in 58 of 60 events in Freebuy Super Series II.

Of the $150,000 in guaranteed prize money up for grabs throughout the festival, more than $70,000 was provided by WPN, according to USAfriendlypokersites.com. The other $80,000 was put up by players through either re-buys or add-ons, as every event of the 60 played was 100% free to enter.

Freebuy Super Series II was structured to allow players to compete without paying an entry fee, requiring nominal fees only for those who busted out and wanted to rebuy, as well as for players who were still in contention after a couple of hours of play and chose to add on to their chip stack. It was really an awesome way to play exciting real-money tournament poker at no cost, with a shot at earning decent prize money for winning or making a deep run!

Don’t Miss a Possible Overlay Next Sunday

If you’re lamenting the fact that you missed the overlays at ACR and Black Chip Poker over the past 11 days, there is another huge event coming up this Sunday, September 13 that might also result in an overlay. The first of five Million Dollar Sundays on the schedule this fall kicks off at 3:00 p.m. ET and features a $1,000,000 guaranteed prize pool! The winner of the event is guaranteed $200,000.

Three such GTD $1 million tournaments have been played at WPN so far in 2015 and each provided an overlay. Many are expecting that trend to continue on the 13th.
