Live! Casino Hotel is making big preparations for an upcoming poker festival, which is scheduled for March 13-23. The 11-day event is named Live! WPT Deepstacks Festival and Championship Event and it will attract a lot of great poker players, meaning we could expect some great action in Maryland.
The festival will feature a total of 17 tournaments where both local regulars and new players coming from all over the place will have an opportunity to test their poker skills against each other.
Some of these events are quite inviting as they come with huge guaranteed prizes that would make the best player really happy.
Main Event Comes with $300,000 in Guaranteed Prizes
The biggest attraction of the festival is definitely the main event that will offer a total of $300,000 in guaranteed prizes. It’s a no-limit hold ’em competition that will require players to make the buy-in of $1,650 to take part in it.
The event is scheduled to start at 11:15 am on March 20. It will have two starting flights, with the second starting flight kicking off on March 21 at 11:15.

Although the Main Event comes with the most money that is up for grabs, other events shouldn’t be taken out of the equation, as there are some rather lucrative opportunities for poker players out there.
One of the marquee events that are going to take place as part of the festival is the so-called Multi Flight tournament that will require a $360 buy-in and comes with $150,000 in guaranteed prizes.
If that seems like too much for you, you can always try your luck and test your skills in the event called Mini Live Size that features $50,000 GTD and requires a $250 buy-in.
Finally, those who enjoy poker variations such as PLO will have an opportunity to play a PLO/Big O event that comes with $10,000 in guaranteed prizes and requires a $500 buy-in.
Other events that are worth mentioning are Ladies, Senior and HORSE. The Ladies event is a competition mainly for the fairer sex, and it offers $3,500 in guaranteed prizes.
All the ladies who want to take part in it will have to buy a seat that costs $240. The event starts on March 14.
The Seniors Event is scheduled two days after that, on March 16 and comes with a total of $10,000 in guaranteed prizes. All seniors who want to play poker as part of the competition will have to pay $360 as a buy-in price.
Finally, there’s a HORSE event which is scheduled for March 17. It also offers $10,000 in guaranteed prizes and costs $360 to play.
