Jackpot Poker – a three-handed Sit & Go game in which players can win up to $25,000 in less than five minutes – goes live today at Americas Cardroom.
Jackpot Poker is an adaptation of PokerStars´ hugely successful “Spin & Go” game – a three-handed hyper-turbo Sit & Go poker game, which starts with a random draw to determine the value of the prize pool.
Americas Cardroom´s version of the game will differ only slightly from the PokerStars format – with buy-ins only available (for the present) at $2.00 and $10.00, and a different deal distribution when one of the Jackpot prizes is drawn.
The introduction of Jackpot Poker is anticipated to bring more traffic to Americas Cardroom – already one of the leading skins on the Winning Poker Network – and cement its position as the #2 of [geolink href=”https://www.pokernewsreport.com/us-poker-sites”]online poker rooms serving players in the US[/geolink] (or #1 for sites that don’t insist on anonymity!). There is even the promise of a Jackpot Poker mobile app on its way to drive more traffic to the site!
How Does Jackpot Poker Work?
Players register for Jackpot Poker in the same way as they would for any other Sit & Go game, with the extra option of being to enter multiple games simultaneously. Once three players have registered for the game, a random draw is held which determines the value of the prize pool.
The prize pool can be anything from double the buy-in up to 2,500 times the buy-in – meaning that a player investing $10.00 into a game of Jackpot Poker could walk away with the lion´s share (but not all) of the $25,000 prize pool, as the Jackpot prizes play three places (see table below).
The game starts with each of the three players receiving 500 chips. The blinds increase rapidly every couple of minutes to ensure a quick conclusion to the game, and Americas Cardroom reckons that the average time it takes to complete a game is seven minutes.
The winner of the game takes all the prize money when the prize pool is up to 20x the buy-in; while, for bigger prizes, the players have the option of discussing a deal before the game begins or accepting the default distribution of 75% of the prize pool to the winner, 15% to the runner-up and 10% to the first player to bust:
|Jackpot Poker – $2.00 buy-in|
|Prizes up to $40.00||Winner Takes All|
|Jackpot Poker – $10.00 buy-in|
|Prizes up to $200.00||Winner Takes All|

“daryldee198888” Already a Jackpot Winner
We should also mention that one player – “daryldee198888” – hit the Jackpot big time on Sunday evening, when he walked away with $200,000 after winning Americas Cardroom´s Million Dollar Sunday feature tournament.
As widely expected there was a massive entry into the event, with 1,815 players ponying up the $540.00 buy-in or qualifying through the site´s comprehensive satellite schedule. Play went on very late into Monday, but “daryldee198888” will not mind – getting extra value for his win due to a $92,500 overlay!
The next Million Dollar Sunday has already been announced by Americas Cardroom. It will be held on Sunday 2nd August at 3:00pm (ET) and as soon as the satellite schedule is released, you will find it here at Poker News Report.
