Ignition Jackpot Sit and Go

Ignition Poker has launched a special edition Jackpot Sit and Go game ostensibly to celebrate the fiftieth anniversary of the WSOP. But is this really the case?

If you play at Americas Cardroom or Black Chip Poker, you will be aware the Winning Poker Network (WPN) is in the middle of getting its new software up and running. Although the new platform is going to provide a far better playing experience than its predecessor, the frequent downtimes for software maintenance can be frustrating.

One of the areas of the platform that seems to be up and down the most is the Jackpot Sit and Go games. WPN´s Jackpot Sit and Go games are one of the reasons players choose to play at Americas Cardroom or Black Chip Poker – rather than at any other US-facing site – because of the more favorable distribution of prize pool multipliers.

A Quick Comparison of Jackpot Sit & Go Games

BetOnline Poker and Ignition Poker offer similar three-handed, hyper-turbo games in which a random prize is drawn before the start of each game. BetOnline Poker offers a top random prize pool multiplier of 5,000x the buy-in – making it potentially the biggest-paying Jackpot Sit & Go game – but the lowest prize pool multipliers (1.5x and 3X) are drawn more than 80% of the time, making the game unprofitable for most players. By comparison, the lowest prize pool multipliers at Ignition Poker are 2x and 5x.

However, compared to WPN´s Jackpot Sit & Go games, you are 6% more likely to spin a 2x prize pool multiplier on Ignition Poker than on a WPN site, 10% less likely to spin a 120x prize pool multiplier, and 40% less likely to spin a 240x prize pool multiplier. Furthermore, WPN players can win a share of 2,500 times the buy-in, plus have a say in how the prize pool is distributed. If you include the PLO Jackpot Sit and Go games, WPN also wins on the number of buy-in levels available to players.

New Ignition Jackpot Sit and Go Game Looks Better

Until July 16th, Ignition Poker is adding a special edition Jackpot Sit and Go game to its portfolio. Ostensibly the new game is to celebrate the fiftieth anniversary of the World Series of Poker with a special $50 buy-in, a new 50x prize pool multiplier, and a 50 in 100,000 chance of winning the second-highest prize pool multiplier. The game also has a top prize pool multiplier of 2,200x the buy-in.

To all intents and purposes, the new Jackpot Sit and Go game at Ignition Poker is what it says it is – a celebration of the fiftieth anniversary of the World Series of Poker. However, the time of its launch (well after the start of WSOP 50) and its advertised finish date (Day 1A of WPN´s Venom tournament) hint that Ignition may be trying to tempt WPN´s Jackpot players until the software issues are resolved.

Are You Tempted by Ignition´s New Jackpot Sit and Go?

If you are a play Jackpot games at Americas Cardroom or Black Chip Poker, it could be worth having a look at Ignition Poker´s new Jackpot Sit and Go game. Although there is only a 195 in 100,000 chance of playing a game with a prize pool multiplier bigger than 2x or 4x, you could win up to $100,000, plus – in the site´s favor – you won´t experience interruptions due to downtime for maintenance.

Furthermore, if you´ve not had an account with Ignition Poker before, you will be eligible to take advantage of a 100% bonus on your first poker deposit up to $1,000, plus a further 100% bonus up to $1,000 if you enjoy playing casino games. Full details of how to set up and fund an account in order to take advantage of this opportunity can be found in our Ignition Poker review and Ignition Casino review.
