GGPoker´s Rush & Cash game is fast-fold poker with a difference. Like standard games of fast-fold poker, players have the option of folding their cards ahead of their turn and being seated at a new table with a fresh opening hand. What makes GGPoker´s version of the game different is that “cash drops” equivalent to between 10BBs and 500BBs rain down on random tables from time to time – not only adding to the size of the pot, but adding to the excitement of each hand.
Although the Rush & Cash game has been available for a while at GGPoker, it´s not been available globally. Furthermore, some players were put off playing at the tables because the stakes were in Chinese Yuan. Now that´s all changing with the global launch of Rush & Cash 2.0. From this week, all the games will be played in US dollars; and, to encourage more players to try out the game, GGPoker is hosting a Rush & Cash Gold Hunt promotion with $300,000 in cash up for grabs.
The Rush & Cash Gold Hunt promotion is a month-long leaderboard competition running from midnight on Saturday 1st June until 23:59pm on Sunday 30th June (all times UTC/GMT). Points are awarded at the rate of one point per hand played, plus one point per flop seen, plus three points for winning a cash drop hand. The points earned in each hand are multiplied according to the size of the Button Blind:
Players will also have the opportunity to improve their positions on the leaderboard during the last week of June (24th June to 30th June) when every point earned will be doubled. The promotion will likely attract hundreds of players to the Rush & Cash tables – resulting in more cash drops, more winnings, and more fun – especially due to the payout structure of the prizes on offer.
In our time writing for PokerNewsReport.com, we´ve seen plenty of leaderboard competitions where all the money goes to the players with the biggest bankrolls. Although it is fair to assume the top prizes in the Gold Hunt promotion will likely be won by players with a healthy balance already in their accounts, there are at least opportunities for players with smaller bankrolls to win decent amounts.
Out of the $300,000 in cash prizes up for grabs, the winner of the leaderboard competition only gets 5% ($15,000) – indeed the top ten places on the leaderboard share just over 25% of the total prize pool. This is because the promotion´s payout structure is very flat, and players finishing in places where they would usually only pick up pennies will pick up a valuable cash prize. Here´s a few examples:
To help you monitor your progress during the promotion, GGPoker will be updating the leaderboard on a daily basis. Although you can expect some significant movement on the leaderboard throughout the last week of the promotion (due to there being double points available), it should still provide a good guide to what you need to do to ladder up the prize money.
