It’s that time again. Another edition of the Full Tilt Online Poker Series (FTOPS) gets underway on Sunday, March 15 and runs through the 29th.
Always a favorite among online poker players, this is the 28th running of FTOPS and features 35 events over 15 days of exciting tournament poker action and $4 million in guaranteed prize money. FTOPS typically brings out poker’s best players, as massive prize pools await, including the Main Event on March 29 that boasts a $1,000,000 guaranteed prize pool.
That Main Event requires a $1,000 buy-in. However, [geolink href=”https://www.pokernewsreport.com/full-tilt-poker”]Full Tilt[/geolink] is giving away five free entries in daily Main Event Freerolls that began on March 2 and will continue through March 27.
Players who finish among the top 100 in any of the daily Main Event Freerolls will win a ticket to the FTOPS XXVIII Main Event Finale Freeroll set for Saturday, March 28. The top five in the finale will be entered into the Main Event the following day free of charge.
While the game types and prizes vary, along with entry fees from $100 to $2,500, Full Tilt has added a rather fun element to FTOPS XXVIII that will pay out half the price of an entry to the winners. Players are invited to guess the number of registrants that will enter each event.
Simply make your guess and announce it on Twitter and the guess that comes the closest will win 1/2 of an entry to another event. And don’t worry about going over, as there is no penalty for doing so. The nearest guess, whether over or under, will claim the prize.
Get your guesses ready, as FTOPS XXVIII kicks off with two events this Sunday that feature combined prize pools of $500,000. The buy-ins are $250 and $500, pointing out exactly why joining in and guessing the correct number of entrants could turn out to be quite profitable.
Don’t forget that players who make the final table of any FTOPS event win an FTOPS jacket. A limited edition prize reserved for players who run deep, FTOPS jackets are coveted as they truly show off those players with enough skill to make the final table in an exciting online event at Full Tilt.
Win an FTOPS championship and a gold FTOPS jersey is thrown into your swag bag for good measure. Not to mention a gold jersey avatar that lets other Full Tilt players know who they are dealing with on the virtual tables at FTP.
Players who finish just out of the money in any FTOPS event receive a free entry to a Bouncebackability Freeroll scheduled for Saturday, April 4. That provides a bit of comfort to the bubble boy (or girl) who can take a stab at a FTOPS XXIX Main Event ticket in the special freeroll.
And one more thing. If those steep buy-ins of FTOPS XXVIII don’t jibe with your budget, not to worry. As is always the case, Mini FTOPS will follow its big brother next month. Set to run from April 19-May 3, Mini FTOPS XXVIII is a duplicate of FTOPS and features buy-ins at only 1/10 of those of FTOPS.
