Full Tilt Poker MiniFTOPS XXIV Starts on SundayNo matter how wild your New Year´s celebrations are, sober up quickly to get ready for MiniFTOPS XXIV and the chance of winning a Black Card sponsorship package

The first major online poker series of 2014 gets underway on Sunday when Full Tilt Poker hosts the twenty-fourth running of MiniFTOPS. The mini Full Tilt Online Poker Series is a mirror of FTOPS XXIV that was played at the end of November/start of December but with buy-ins a tenth of the price of the “full” series. Despite the lower buy-in levels, more than $3 million in prize money is guaranteed over the 39 tournaments – which range in disciplines from “Irish” to “HORSE” and in formats from “Rush Poker” to “Escalator” (where the length of the blind levels increase as the tournament progresses).

The series kicks off on Sunday 5th January with a $200,000 guaranteed NL Hold´em Re-Entry tournament (buy-in $22.00) and concludes on Sunday 19th January with the $750,000 guaranteed Main Event (buy-in $75.00). Between the two headline tournaments, a $250,000 guaranteed NL Hold´em is scheduled for Sunday 12th January, and the popular $400,000 guaranteed two-day event will take place over the final weekend of the series.

Quadzillions of MiniFTOPS Qualifiers

The full MiniFTOPS XXIV schedule is available on the Full Tilt Poker web site along with links to the forthcoming satellites for each event. However it is also advisable to browse through the Full Tilt Poker client and keep an eye on the satellites with a pre-determined number of guaranteed seats to the target events. These can sometimes be under-subscribed (especially tomorrow morning!) and may represent excellent value for those not too hung over from tonight´s New Year celebrations!

MiniFTOPS qualifiers start from just $0.05 or 25 Full Tilt Points, and they offer players the chance to enter multiple events in the series for just a few dollars, or amass several tickets for “Multi-Entry” and “Re-Entry” events which allow you to have more than one seat in the tournament or re-enter within the late registration period when you have bust early from a freezeout even (there are three “Multi-Entry” and seven “Re-Entry” events in the schedule).

Win a Full Tilt Poker Black Card Sponsorship Package

As with previous series, a leaderboard competition will run alongside the MiniFTOPS XXIV events to reward the most consistent player throughout the series (the last winner cashed in eight events without winning any of them). However, rather than award the leaderboard competition winner the usual prize of free buy-ins to the next MiniFTOPS series, Full Tilt Poker is putting a 6-month Black Card Sponsorship Package up for grabs.

The player who wins the Black Card Sponsorship Package will get 100% cashback on all rake paid at the Full Tilt Poker cash tables and fees paid to enter Full Tilt Poker Sit n Go or multi-table poker tournaments for the next six months. During that period (which starts on Monday January 20th) the lucky winner will also have the choice of $20,000 in FTOPS and MiniFTOPS tournament entries or a $20,000 cash bonus which has to be redeemed by collecting FTP Points. Not a bad way to start 2014!

MiniFTOPS XXIV Starts on Sunday

There are two events schedule for this Sunday in MiniFTOPS XXIV. The cards are in the air for Event #1 (the $200,000 guaranteed NL Hold´em Re-Entry tournament) at 6.00pm GMT, with late registration open for 2½ hours through the first 15 levels. The $109.00 buy-in “Super Stack” Event #2 gets underway at 9.00pm GMT, with late registration available for three hours for players who have had their body clocks reset by staying up all night to welcome in 2014.

Wherever you may be and however you chose to celebrate New Year´s Eve, may 2014 bring you good health, much happiness and success at the poker tables.

Happy New Year from Everyone at PokerNewsReport!
