Fox Monthly won by Jon Omara

This weekend saw the £300+£25 Fox Poker Club Main Event taking place, with Englishman Jon Omara emerging as overall winner. Omara managed to beat a field of 111 players in order to take 1^st place, meaning he walked away with a healthy £8,460 to boost his bankroll.

The British poker professional held a decent chip lead when fourth place finisher, Paul Romain, was knocked out. This led to a discussion between the remaining three players (which consisted of Omara, Neil Suarez and Jen-yue Chiang) about doing a deal and chopping winnings. The trio came to a mutually beneficial conclusion, which saw Suarez and Chiang each take away £6,500 each, with Omara taking the larger share.

Omara is a rising talent on the British poker pro circuit. He has cashed in the Grosvenor UK Poker Tour several times, as well as the Dusk till Dawn Mini Festival and the European series of Poker.
