The Treasury Casino and Hotel in Brisbane, Australia will host the Brisbane Poker Championships from December 13th – 16th.
Australian poker players will be attending one of the most exciting tournaments on the live poker circuit calendar when they sing up for the Brisbane Poker Championships next week. The weekend event, which will kick off on Thursday the 13th, will feature a three day Main Event, with two Day 1 flight events.
The buy-in for the Brisbane Poker Championships Main Event is a reasonable $1,500, making it an attractive tournament for Oz poker players, considering the size of its prize pool. Organizers believe that if the tournament manages to attract as many participants as they anticipate, a first prize for the winner of the Main Event could be in the region of $105,000. The total prize pool, based on an estimate of 300 players who will attend the tournament, could be over $400K.
Qualify for Brisbane Poker Championships Online
The Brisbane Poker Championships need not be out of reach for players who cannot afford the buy in fee of $1,500 into the Main Event. Players are able to qualify online through the Treasury Casino website, which is running satellites for this exact purpose. One of these is a $165 Direct Satellite where one in every five players will win a Main Event seat into the Championships. Other satellites on offer include the $320 Mega Satellite offer, where, once again, seats into the Main Event can be won. Players should check out the satellite schedule to see how they can qualify.
This is the last week that players can enter one of these satellites run by the Brisbane Treasure Casino and Hotel and earn themselves a seat into one of Australia’s most exciting live poker events.
