Americas Cardroom is one of the most popular online poker sites that focuses on US players. A while ago, the platform announced a tournament that will take place in July that is simply called “The Venom.”
The tournament will last from July 24 to Aug. 7 and comes with $7 million in guaranteed prizes. According to the site, this will be one of the biggest online tournaments ever offered by a US-facing poker site.
There will be four Day 1 options, and the winner of The Venom will receive at least $1 million for their success. Moreover, to take part in this tournament, you will have to pay a buy-in price of $2,650.
On the other hand, there will also be plenty of satellite events where you will have an opportunity to win a ticket for The Venom.
Satellite Events — An Overview
If you’re interested in how to take part in this tournament without paying the full buy-in price, make sure to check out some of the events offered.
For example, there will be a total of nine Cyclone events, with their buy-in ranges from $0.1 to $850. In other words, players can have an opportunity to aim at $1 million by only investing $0.1
However, Cyclone events are not the only ones that will offer tickets for The Venom. There are also Step tournaments and Sit & Go tournaments, both ranging from $0.1 to $850 buy-in.
Terms and Conditions For The Tournament
Players who are thinking about joining the tournament that will take place at the end of July should take into account a couple of terms and conditions pertaining to The Venom.
First of all, a player can take part in several Day 1s and use the chip size from the biggest Day 1 to proceed to Day 2. Mind you, you will not be able to combine stack sizes, so you’ll choose the one you want and proceed with it.
To take part in this tournament, you need to obtain a ticket. If you have just one ticket (your primary one), you cannot sell it. On the other hand, if you managed to obtain more tickets, you are free to sell your extras.
In other words, if you won several Venom tickets and you want to sell them, you are free to do it at the price that you and the buyer agree upon, just make sure to contact the staff at tickettrade@winningpokernetwork.com and inform them about the sale.
The tournament will support late registration, and players are free to buy additional entries as long as registration is open. If you happen to have an extra ticket and you fail to use it while the registration period is open, you can save it for The Venom that will take place next year.
These tickets can only last a year, meaning you wouldn’t be able to use them after Venom 2021. Tickets can only be used for playing The Venom tournament, meaning no other tourney on the network will accept those tickets as valid.
