It wasn’t so long ago that 888Poker had the cojones to go head-to-head-to-head with PokerStars and Party Poker during big tournament series. Now, although still scheduling its September series to compete with the World Championship of Online Poker, 888Poker´s XL Eclipse series is a shadow of its former self – with the number of events reduced from 197 two years ago to just 34 this year.
Nonetheless, there are still some very good events worth playing in. Furthermore, if you are an existing player at 888Poker who has made a real money deposit into your account, you have the opportunity to win a free seat in the $50,000 guaranteed “Mini Tune Up” event being played on the first Sunday of the series, and in the $500,000 guaranteed Main Event on the final day of the series.
XL Eclipse Series – Dates and Times
888Poker´s XL Eclipse series runs from Thursday September 12th to Sunday September 22nd. On most days, there is a low buy-in and a high buy-in tournament scheduled for 6:00pm (all times GMT), with a mid-range buy-in turbo tournament scheduled for 8:00pm.
The exceptions to this format are on the two Sundays of the series (see table below), on Monday September 16th – when the turbo R&A event starts an hour earlier – and on Friday 20th September, when all three tournaments start an hour earlier due to their deepstack structures.

888Poker is currently running twice daily freeroll tournaments giving players an opportunity to win seats in the Mini Tune Up tournament and Main Event.
