For online poker platforms, options like Twitch can be used to promote events, showcase gaming footage and more. Just recently, online poker giant 888poker announced a new Twitch.TV channel. The brand will use the channel to provide footage of online gaming content.
The new Twitch.TV channel of 888poker will be used to stream online events as well as provide live commentaries of tournaments hosted by the brand. Additional poker content will also be added from time to time.
888poker created a new brand slogan not long ago titled Made To Play. The new Twitch channel is one way that the brand is providing players with access to poker content and keeping the brand in the public eye and trending.
The new service went live last weekend and started with a stream of the WPTDeepStacks London Online Series. The opening event was streamed so fans and poker players who were not participating could check out the event. The event commentary was covered by David Tuchman and Nick Wealthall.
As the WPTDeepStacks series continues, 888poker will continue to use its Twitch channel to provide an inside look into events. During the streaming of events, the channel will also be giving away tournament tickets and cash prizes. Included in the mix are tickets to the Main Event of the series, with a value of $1,050!
The website of 888poker gave more insight as to what fans can expect from the new Twitch channel. Poker pros will be guests in streams along with live events replayed for viewing. Interviews will be offered from time to time along with content involving strategy in poker gaming. Online events will be covered along with continued freerolls and giveaway options.
The 888poker.TV launch is just one in several ways the brand is expanding its services. The company has continued to roll out its Poker 8 software with is being praised by players on the mobile market. 888 also announced an extended partnership deal with the WSOP, which is a big deal for 2021.
The World Series of Poker is offering options online as well as in live format, so 888 will have access to marketing potential in both formats. The brand will soon be live in Pennsylvania, as the WSOP PA brand is launched, which will give 888 even more opportunity to share liquidity.
The brand has seen so much growth, it recently pushed past partypoker as the top operator when it comes to global cash game traffic. This is the first in several years for the brand and shows how much it has grown over the years.
