888 Poker Releases XL Inferno Schedule and Promotions

888 Poker has released the schedule for its XL Inferno series, which will run from May 10th to May 20th. The site is supporting the series with a number of promotions in which you could win up to $1 million or a package to fly to Las Vegas in the summer in order to play in the World Series of Poker Main Event.

The schedule for the forthcoming XL Inferno series is out – and it looks really good. Rather than stuff a quadzillion events into a few days of action, 888 Poker has selected key tournaments and packaged them together into a carefully crafted schedule with something for everyone.

The XL Inferno series kicks off on Thursday May 10th with two opening events (with buy-ins of $109 and $12), and has an enticing first weekend that includes a $160 buy-in “Tune Up” tournament and a $1,050 “Whale” tournament – both guaranteed for $200,000.

Throughout the following week, events take place each evening at 6:00pm and 8:00pm (all times GMT), until the series reaches its climax on Sunday May 20th with three Main Events guaranteed for $1 million (buy-in $1,050), $200,000 (buy-in $165) and $50,000 (buy-in $30).

The series may not be the same scale as PokerStars´ SCOOP or Party Poker´s PowerFest, but it is worth having a look at, especially because of the promotions 888 Poker has lined up to support the XL Inferno series – including free-to-enter Main Event satellites.

Free-to-Enter Main Event Satellites

Up until Wednesday 9th May, 888 Poker will be setting players two “Personal Poker Challenges” each day. On completion of the challenges, you will be awarded a ticket to an XL Inferno Mini Tune Up satellite and an XL Inferno Main Event satellite.

• The XL Inferno Mini Tune Up satellite takes place at 5:00pm each day, and the top thirty players in each satellite will win a seat in the Mini Tune Up event on Sunday May 13th with a guaranteed prize pool of $50,000.

Cash for Cashing in XL Inferno Events
