The Super Poker Event of Europe (“The Super 2012”) aims to be the biggest ever live poker tournament outside of America when the inaugural event takes place in Dublin in February 2012.
Hoping to attract a field of 4,000 players, organisers are anticipating a prize pool in excess of a million Euros for the €300.00 + €40.00 buy-in event and, in order to help them achieve that, have enlisted the help of 888 Poker.
Guaranteed Seats to the Target Event
Online poker players with accounts at 888 Poker have the opportunity to qualify for the event through a two stage satellite program – the first leg of which is a $2.20 buy-in re-buy and add-on tournament, which feeds through to a weekly final with at least one seat in the Super 2012 guaranteed. Players can also buy directly into the weekly final for $22.00 (also a re-buy and add-on tournament).
Big Names Already Enrolled for the Super 2012
A number of professional poker players have already bought in directly to the final of the event, even though it does not take place for another three months. Irish Masters Champion Nicholas Newport and Dublin Pokerfest winner Andy Black lead the home contingent, while winner of the 2009 Partouche Poker Tour – French poker player Jean Paul Pasqualini – will line up with 888 Poker professional and November Niner Sam Holden.
Qualify Now for Extra Value
With the Super 2012 tournament not taking place until 25th February, it is not at the forefront of many players´ minds and this is a fantastic time to qualify for the event. 888 poker is not renowned for undersubscribed tournaments but, although a limited number of re-buys are permitted during the first 45 minutes of the weekly final, there is still no guarantee that the dollar value of a seat in the Super 2012 (€340.00 = $480.00) will be surpassed.
More about The Super 2012
The Super 2012 is being hosted at the Citywest Conference Centre in Dublin on Saturday 25th and Sunday 26th February, with a final eight-handed table to be played on 31st March. Its 30 minute levels on Day 1 and 45 minute levels on Day 2 will enable 20 levels of play on the Saturday and, on Sunday, players will play down to the final table. Four side events are also going to be hosted in order to make the trip to Dublin worthwhile for those who bust out of the Main Event at an early stage.
