888 Holdings, the technology provider for World Series of Poker (WSOP) online, has confirmed a multi-year partnership with Ceasars Interactive Entertainment, the online version of the Las Vegas casino and hotel business.

The partnership is well-timed as WSOP looks to expand its reach in the developing U.S online poker market in 2021. 888 Holdings will continue to run WSOP’s online platform, and also develop new and enhanced mobile poker rooms to improve player experience.

888 will also provide online poker platforms to U.S. market’s interstate shared player liquidity poker network across the states of New Jersey, Delaware and Nevada – connecting more players across the states, and providing more availability for a growing online market.

WSOP Online Expansion Placed in 888’s Hands

The extended deal between 888 and Ceasars Interactive Casinos will continue the seven-year partnership between the two business into 2021 and beyond. 888 are a proven and trusted technology provider for WSOP and the hierarchy at the U.S based poker giant will lean upon 888 to develop its online presence further.

Following a strong year in 2020, WSOP executive director, Ty Stewart, praised the past relationship between 888 and WSOP, which has built an ever-growing brand.

“We’re proud of the success story to date, particularly the record-setting tournament events of 2020, and are optimistic about the future of real money online poker in the U.S,” Stewart explained.

But the agreement will also open the door for 888 to enter new markets in the U.S, such as Pennsylvania. WSOP’s existing presence in the state will allow 888 to get a foothold in new developing state markets. Both parties have regularly benefitted from each other’s expertise. WSOP provide the market base and presence in the U.S, while 888 offers leading software developments in online poker.

After confirmation of the partnership extension, Yaniv Sherman, SVP, Head of 888 U.S, explained the deal would ultimately benefit the players of WSOP and 888 in the coming years.

“Our partnership with Caesars has been powering the hugely popular WSOP brand online since 2013, and we are looking forward to continuing this relationship for many years to come.

“We are also excited at the prospect of adding new states to our unique interstate poker network in 2021 and beyond, which we believe would drive a significant increase in liquidity for poker players on the 888 platform,” Sherman said.

New Poker 8 Platform Set for U.S Launch

The deal extended deal between 888 and Ceasars will also see the launch of the next generation Poker 8 platform that launched in Europe in November 2020.

Poker 8 uses the latest software to improve user experience through new graphics, animations and more enhanced features including multi-day and multi-flight tournaments. High-definition images and slick gameplay in Poker 8 combine with easy to navigate tournament and cash lobbies.

As part of the extended partnership, 888 will also continue to supply its other casino platforms to Caesars other casino brands – Harrah’s and World Series of Poker Casino in New Jersey.
