The schedule for edition 21 of the Full Tilt Online Poker Series has just been announced – guaranteeing more than $7.5 million in prize money over 35 events.
As announced back in October on PokerNewsReport, the Full Tilt Online Poker Series (FTOPS) returns on December 2nd – less than a month after the re-launch of the online poker site – and details have just been released of the events that will be included in the two-week pokerfest.
Understandably, the guarantees for the series are much lower than prior to Full Tilt Poker´s demise in 2011 but, as last weekend´s feature tournament on the site more than trebled the guarantee due to the number of entries, it is possible that the total prize fund on offer could exceed more than $20 million.
In addition to the cash prizes available for each tournament, players who reach the final table will receive an exclusive FTOPS gold jacket – the winner receiving a limited edition FTOPS gold jersey and gold avatar. A leaderboard competition will also run alongside the FTOPS poker series, with the winner receiving a prize package into FTOPS XXII.
Players on Full Tilt Poker will be able to take advantage of online satellite events available soon in the tournament lobby to qualify for individual feature tournaments. The most highly sought after target tournament is likely to be the $640.00 buy-in Main Event with $1.5 million guaranteed in the prize pool.
However, players should be aware that the Main Event is just one of many multi-entry events in the FTOPS schedule which allow players to enter up to three times – indeed the tournament schedule starts with a $216.00 multi-entry NL Hold´em event on Sunday 2nd December guaranteeing $750,000.
All this week and up until Sunday November 25th, Full Tilt Poker is hosting a FTOPS Satellite Frenzy with more than one thousand seats to FTOPS events added to the satellite prize pools. The “mega-satellite” event takes place on November 25th – when 100 Main Event seats will be added to the qualifier – and a Satellite Challenge, offering free tournament dollars, is also taking place.
The satellite challenge enables players to build up multiple tournament tickets for the same event (useful for the multi-entry and re-buy tournaments) which, if you do not use, will be credited to your FTP account in tournament dollars. The player who wins the most satellite seats to each FTOPS event will also be credited with double the buy-in for that event.
Highlights of the FTOPS XXI schedule are listed below. The full schedule can be found on Full Tilt Poker´s web site, which will be updated with forthcoming satellites as they are announced in the tournament lobby and the results of each event once a winner is declared.

Players who find the buy-ins to FTOPS XXI beyond their bankrolls, or who fail to qualify for the feature tournaments through the satellite schedule, will be delighted to hear the mini-FTOPS returns in January 2013. Mini-FTOPS is very similar to FTOPS in scheduling and structure, but with much lower buy-ins. The tournament series starts on January 6th and, as soon as the poker tournament schedule is released, you will find it here on PokerNewsReport.
