Jim Anderson wins Midwest $10k WSOP-C Regional Championship

WSOPCThe first $10,000 WSOP-C Regional Championship of the 2010-2011 season has come to a close with Jim Anderson claiming the victory for $525,449. The final table was televised on the Versus Network and featured a stacked table with successful professional poker players such as David Sands, Bernard Lee and Brandon Adams (who was representing Full Tilt Poker which is one of the best Linux poker sites) all in contention hoping to win.

At the beginning of the final table it was Gabe Patgorski who held the chip lead with almost 1million more chips than his closest rival David Sands and Patgorski played very well to make it to heads up play against Anderson. Unfortunately for Patgorski he was up against a 5:2 chip deficit when heads-up play began and on the final hand he held AJ which was dominated by Anderson’s AA. Anderson’s pocket Aces held up to give him the victory and a payday of $525,449.

Prior to this victory Anderson had around $70k in live tournament winnings however with his newly padded bankroll we are certin to see more from him in future events.
