Grand Challenge Tournament Poker Series Begins in Vegas Tomorrow

MGM Grand Challenge TournamentThe MGM Grand Poker Room’s Grand Challenge Tournament Series kicks off in Las Vegas tomorrow with a $200+$30 buy-in No-Limit Hold’em event that introduces 18 days of action until Sunday, May 6.

The highlight of the series – which is being run by tournament director Matt Savage – is undoubtedly the $1,500+$100 buy-in No-Limit Hold’em main event that starts on Tuesday, May 1, for three days’ play, although the most interesting tournament might be the 40-player maximum $1,000+$90 buy-in Chinese Poker Half High, Half 2-7 & Player Party event on Sunday, April 19.

The main event champion will be handed a seat to this year’s MGM Grand Executive Invitational Poker Challenge, although no date has yet been announced for that event, as well as a cash prize, of course

Satellites are available starting at 09:00 every day, while all 12:00 tournaments are two-day events – unless stated – and will play out until a final table is reached or 02:00 comes around. Day 2 play will start at 13:00 the next day. Additionally, every 17:00 event will be one-day tournaments.
