Everybody Wants Some of the FTP Millions
At around 1.00pm GMT today, real money games will be available on Full Tilt Poker for the first time since June 2011, and the $184 million that was locked away in player´s accounts after the Alderney Gambling Control Commission suspended Full Tilt Poker´s licence will become available for players to use on the site or withdraw and take elsewhere.
Inasmuch as Full Tilt Poker has made every effort to retain the previous client base with their “Deal Me In” promotion – and will benefit from the novelty effect of online poker players wanting to play on the site once more – other online poker sites and networks seem to have timed their seasonal tournament series to coincide with the release of this equity into the online poker community.
PokerStars MicroMillions Nov 15th-25th
PokerStars may have little to gain by encouraging clients of Full Tilt Poker to use their funds to participate in the third MicroMillion Series as both companies are owned by the same people, but with more than $5 million dollars guaranteed over 100 tournaments within an eleven day period there is almost certainly going to be some incentive for low-stake players to move their funds off of Full Tilt Poker.
888 Poker Super XL Nov 17th – 25th
888 Poker have also got their sights on some of the FTP millions. The company, who recently recorded their eighth successive quarter of growth in a declining industry, are hosting an 88 tournament series with buy-ins from a tenner up to $525.00 and qualifiers starting from just 8c. A minimum of $2 million is guaranteed throughout the 888 Poker Super XL tournament series with one of the highlights being an innovative pokercam tournament.
iPOPS III Nov 25th – Dec 2nd
The iPoker Online Poker Series may be modest in size compared to the MicroMillions and Super XL series, but there is still $1 million guaranteed prize money over the five events and – if previous history is anything to go by – plenty of overlays, both in the satellite qualifiers to the feature tournaments and the target tournaments themselves. iPoker skins such as William Hill are promoting the event by offering a 100% reload bonus throughout November in addition to the 200% match first deposit for new clients.
Full Tilt Poker FTOPS XXI Dec 2nd – 16th
If online poker players have any money left by the end of November, edition twenty-one of the Full Tilt Online Poker Series is due to commence on Dec 2nd. No details of the tournament schedule have been released to date (the folk at Full Tilt Poker have had other things to think about!) but there is likely to be a satellite schedule put in place very soon and announcements made about which of the Full Tilt professionals will be hosting each event.
For all PokerNewsReport.com readers playing on Full Tilt Poker today – GOOD LUCK!
