Carbon Poker Mobile to be Launched Soon

Carbon Poker Mobile to be LaunchedCarbon Poker has announced that testing has been completed on a mobile app that will soon allow players to play for real-money on mobile devices.

CarbonRyan, a Carbon Poker representative, informed players via a post on 2+2 that players using iPhone or iPod touch will be able to access play money games initially. The site is currently recruiting players to participate in a preview prior to the roll out of the app to the general public. Once satisfied that all systems are go, real money play will also become available, as well as support for those players who prefer iPad and Android mobile devices.

Carbon Poker is part of the Merge Gaming Network, one of a handful of U.S.-friendly networks still available to players. A successful launch of the mobile poker app will allow Carbon Poker to be the first U.S.-facing online poker site to enter the realm of mobile gaming. Players interested in taking part in the beta test are instructed to send a message to viphost@carbonpoker.ag.

Several other poker sites and networks have previously rolled out mobile offerings, including 888 Poker, Ongame, Microgaming and PokerStars. However, mobile gaming is still considered to be in its infancy. By being the first U.S. poker room to go mobile, Carbon Poker is hoping to draw more traffic to Merge, which currently sits in third place among networks that accept U.S. players, according to PokerScout’s player traffic rankings.
